Society Of Women In Economics University Of Michigan

The Society of Women in Economics (SWIE) focuses on career-oriented and community-building programming for undergraduates promoting women in economics at the University of Michigan. We host inspiring female speakers who have either graduated from U of M with economics degrees or hosting other women who studied economics and pursued diverse careers relating to the field. Additionally, SWIE aims to guide members as they navigate the application, interviewing, and hiring processes through various career oriented programing. SWIE also strives to foster an empowering environment for women within this challenging and often male-dominated undergraduate program. All opportunities in this organization are open to members of all demographic classes as long as they have an interest in promoting women in economics.
