The Society of Occupational Medicine is a registered charity and our charitable mission is to improve the health of the working age population across the UK. We are a national leader in providing continued professional development and education in occupational health. Additionally, we are used as a forum for the exchange of ideas, resources, best practice and networking opportunities.
By joining the Society you become a member of one our 10 regional groups making networking and staying on top of current occupational health developments easy. Our regional groups organize excursions, guest speakers, on-site discussions and other events to enjoy throughout the year.
From our head office in London we provide national training and development courses for occupational health practitioners, as well as offering our members access to our quality assured appraisal scheme to support their re-validation process.
We also publish Occupational Medicine, our international peer reviewed scientific journal which has become an invaluable resource to our members. Additionally, members also receive a monthly electronic newsletter with a news digest, events calendar and important policy and practice updates.
