Slovak Pro Slovak Professionals

Slovak PRO is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in New York City with a vision of building Slovakia as a modern country of global citizens. Slovak PRO is a community-based non-profit organization that offers professional, cultural, and educational opportunities for the Slovak community in New York and, more broadly, in the United States. The organization began in 2001 as the Young Slovak Professionals Network and was reborn as Slovak PRO in 2007. What started as small professional meetups has grown into an engaged community of more than 2500 members who are proud of Slovakia and committed to creating opportunities and connections for their fellow Slovak professionals. Slovak PRO organizes monthly in-person events focused on professional networking, cultural exchange, and personal development, in addition to online events that aim to connect Slovak professionals from the U.S. with Slovaks at home. Beyond organizing these well-attended events, Slovak PRO’s team of leaders works to support and engage other Slovak organizations in their activities in order to build a strong, engaged community of Slovaks around the world. We value genuine professional connections, access to a trusted network of experts, maintaining an engaged and inclusive community, inspiring pride and support of Slovakia, and ensuring governance that is transparent and democratic.
