Slingshot is an independent publication dedicated to covering Esports. Our agenda is only to find and write the most interesting stories.
It’s our philosophy that people drive esports, not the gaming companies or broadcasting corporation. So that’s what we cover: People playing the games, people owning the teams, and people watching the matches. This site is as much about the culture of esports as it is about the players, teams, and strategies.
We find the stories nobody is telling. We call out BS. We point out hypocrisy and expose shenanigans. We provide analysis better than anyone else.
We exist at a time when a new professional sport is coming into its own. This is extremely cool and we are all extremely lucky. We are documenting that process in the smartest, most intriguing ways possible.
We want to be the go-to destination for esports diehards and casual fans (or even non-gamers) alike. Whether you’re a diamond rated jungler or you have no idea what that even means, we’re here for you.
Most importantly, we want to provide an outlet for others to share their thoughts and ideas. We’ll be accepting contributions and paying contributors fairly for their work. We’re not here to work FOR the esports community. We’re here to work with the esports community.
