Skyscan started in 1984 using an innovative tethered balloon borne camera system developed by Andy Marks. This has created a photolibrary of 150,000+ unique Birdseye views of Britain. In 1997 Skyscan took on the work of other aerial and aviation photographers and now know or represent directly most of the world's best aerial photographers.
We are also specialists in locating and supplying old aerial photos of the UK which can be used for legal disputes or historic land research and have an extensive database of these old photo archives which is used to supply clients with copies of the old aerial photos located. Skyscan have recently bought two important aerial archives of over 220,000 photos dating from 1958 and have been instrumental in finding and bringing others to life from long term storage. The old collections are gradually being brought to a searchable web service although a manual search is often required to check these old survey records thoroughly.
Skyscan also represent the mapping companies as well as oblique aerial imagery and so try Skyscan first for all your aerial imagery requirements, if we cannot help directly we will usually know where best to try.
