A family business with a cutting edge approach to farming, a drive to succeeded, a need to push the boundaries and an unwavering love of the land, Skybury was established in 1987 by Ian and Marion MacLaughlin. Skybury is a multi dimensional farm, producing sweet red papaya and award winning coffee. Skybury is the largest single papaya grower in Australia, which is distributed across the Australian eastern seaboard, including Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Skybury remains Australia’s largest exporter of Arabica coffee (about 50% of the Skybury crop is exported), and was the first Australian grower to export green coffee to Japan, Europe, Canada. We share our love for the land through a purpose built interactive farm based tourism experience. Now in its 12 year of operation the Skybury Cafe and Roastery allows people to visit the plantation and celebrate the produce grown on our farm. Not only do we showcase our produce but that of our neighbours and the amazing diversity of our region. The Skybury Cafe and Roastery is also the home of our roast coffee distribution centre, with more than 20 tonnes of roast coffee being shipped annually to cafes and homes across Australia. Having merged with our long standing neighbours and fellow coffee farmers North Queensland Gold Coffee Plantation in late 2017 this part of the business continues to expand and provide opportunities for us to showcase Australian Coffee.
