Skin Health Institute

The Skin Health Institute is Australia's leading centre for dermatological treatment. We are at the forefront of ground-breaking clinical trials and our dedicated team of experts treat all skin conditions including skin cancer and melanoma. We train and educate GPs, registrars and healthcare workers and are committed to delivering the best possible outcomes across 28 sub-specialities. No other Australian specialist skin centre offers this level of breadth, connection and focus. Established in 1987 by 36 professional dermatologists, the Skin Health Institute has become Australia's centre of excellence in dermatology, and the home for dermatology in Victoria. We are a not-for-profit, DGR registered, organisation treating 30,000 patients annually. Patient services are provided by highly skilled skin experts including dermatologists, plastic surgeons, an oral mucosal specialist, a psychiatrist, a psychologist, specialist nurses and other allied health care professionals. Much of the work by Institute members is provided on a pro-bono basis. We are a fully accredited day procedure hospital, located in Melbourne. Our facilities have ISO 9001 accreditation and are fully certified under the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS).
