Silkwood is an independent private, government-accredited school located in a stunning bushland setting in the Gold Coast Hinterland. The school caters for children from Prep to Year 12, and offers a Playgroup experience for 15 month to 4 year olds. Silkwood is an innovative learning environment, so does things a little differently than other schools. Our view of education requires us to be flexible, responsive, open to new research and uncompromising in our endeavours to keep the spirit of learning shining bright for our students. This generates a dynamic, considered and constantly evolving school environment. For this reason, you won’t find our program replicated in any other school – it is unique! Silkwood has developed ‘The Silkwood Way’, an educational approach that places personalised student learning plans at the centre and uses student interests and needs, innovative learning styles, flexible timetables and the Australian Curriculum to intentionally enhance every child’s learning adventure.
