The Sid Williams Theatre Society is a registered Canadian charitable organization and operates the Sid Williams Theatre through a management agreement with the City of Courtenay, which owns the building. The Sid Williams Theatre is a professional performing arts centre in the heart of the Comox Valley. OUR MANDATE To stimulate and enhance artistic, cultural, and economic activities in the Comox Valley and surrounding regions by operating the Sid Williams Theatre. OUR MISSION To be a leader at providing professional theatre services to the Comox Valley in a safe, cost efficient, environmentally responsible manner for the benefit and cultural enrichment of our community, clients, and patrons. OUR CORE VALUES To provide an accessible and affordable full service theatre facility to the Comox Valley’s performing arts and cultural organizations, To present a broad range of top quality national and international performers to Comox Valley audiences the year round, To offer educational opportunities for Comox Valley youth in a professional theatre environment, To offer opportunities for low-income families and youth in the Comox Valley to participate in cultural events at the theatre, and To continually improve the facility.
