The jewelry designer Shourouk Rhaiem is known for her love of bold colors and sparkling statement jewelry. Her love affair with Jewelry began early, during her childhood she was already playing with her grandmother’s diamond bracelets. Later on, her different experiences in fashion houses, as Chloé and Galiano in Paris and Roberto Cavalli in Florence, made her truly understand that jewelry was her medium for artistic expression.
Shourouk established her eponymous company in 2008.
Her collections have caught the eye of international A-listers, including Sarah Jessica Parker; Jennifer Lopez; the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, Anna Dello Ruso. The brand has also been exposed in the entertainment scene, featured in series like Scream Queens, Sex in the City, Glee or Gossip Girl .
She loves to play with contrasts & colors and gets all the inspiration from her travels. As a globetrotter, she feels that she has to translate all her discoveries in her designs. So, it is all about « mix & match » and trying new techniques and materials.
As recognition of her funky fashion philosophy, Shourouk is often approached to work on special projects and collaborations.
She launched her first jewel-encrusted limited edition makeup collection at Sephora official stores worldwide in 2015. Exposed at Milan for 2014 Design Week, Shourouk reinvented a Joa Sekoya TOG chair specially for Philippe Stark. She crystalized the FIFA World Cup official match ball in collaboration with Adidas and Luisa Via Roma and a tennis bracelet for Roland Garros.
Selected for the Swarovski designer’s choice, Shourouk has designed a special collection and a jeweled watch for Swarovski, which was sold at their top boutiques worldwide. She has also collaborated with other prestigious brands including Shanghai- Tang or Hiroko Koshino and with top online retailer Net a Porter. She was chosen to accessorize Hollywood heroines of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Haute Couture Fall 2009 fashion show.
