The SCMAI was originally founded in the 1980’s as a result of a small group of Shopping Centre Managers having the foresight to gather for mutual support. The group was previously known as the Association of Shopping Centre Managers Ireland. As a result of ever-changing industry trends and challenges, this professional association for existing and incoming Centre Managers has proved invaluable during the past four decades.
Association membership is open to all Centre Managers, as well as Assistant Managers, Operations Managers, Marketing Managers and Commercial Property Managers within Shopping Centres.
The Association hosts events from small seminars and informal regular online meet ups to our bi-annual Industry Conferences & Expo. The Association also offers education programmes, industry reports and ongoing informal peer support. The Association has adapted and pivoted throughout the decades and is very much alive today as it was when it was launched.
