Sheetal Sanitary & Home Deco The International Centre for Human Development is a partnership between the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Indian Institute for Advanced Study and UNDP. The Centre envisions itself as a “think and do” organization that promotes policy dialogue on human development in the Global South and works towards translating human development analysis into action. The Centre will provide a range of services to national governments in translating this approach into policy by following a four-pronged approach: * Policy Advisory Services - The Centre will offer policy advisory services to national governments, CSOs and other stakeholders such as the private sector in operationalization of the concept of human development (HD) at the regional, national, sub-national and local levels. Towards this end, the Centre will undertake the following activities: • Support national and sub–national governments in mainstreaming human development in policy design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation • Strengthen national statistical organisations with a view to improving data collection, data measurement methodologies, and dissemination and analyses of human development to enable informed policymaking • Engage people’s and women’s’ organisations in a consultative capacity to provide practical advice on how to mainstream HD within different contexts • Provide advisory services to the private sector for incorporating a human development approach in their corporate social responsibility work
