Scottish Youth Theatre is a national young artists’ development organisation. Its purpose is to collaborate with young theatre artists to create experiences and events that reverberate in their lives, their communities and their country. It designs and produces projects that offer artistic development opportunities for aspiring, emerging and early career artists, aged 14 to 25. The company works with young people who are based in Scotland, across intersections and geographies.
Our National Artistic Programme champions young people as artists, gives space for learning and growth and celebrates work that gives voice to their passions, concerns and experiences. Offering a range of ways to participate, our projects include skills-based workshops, making and touring new theatre work and paid traineeships with a comprehensive learning programme.
