Scotland's Gardens Scheme is the national open garden charity in Scotland. We help open fantastic gardens to raise money for a wide range of charitable causes, through admission prices, plant sales, teas and occasional additional events.
Scotland's Gardens Scheme was founded in 1931 to raise money for the Queen's Nursing Institute Scotland, to help support the Queen's Nurses, before the creation of the National Health Service. Our charitable support has expanded over the years but our love of gardens has remained constant.
Many of the gardens that open with us are private, and otherwise unaccessible to the public. Our open days are a wonderful opportunity to see the hidden gardens of Scotland.
