Scientific Instruments (SI), an ISO 9001 certified company, is one of the world leaders in design and manufacturing of measurement systems for cryogenic science applications. SI was founded in 1967 by Jack Hoey and Gilbert Halverson. Coming from aerospace and academic backgrounds, they identified a market need for cryogenic (4K) temperature measurement and developed one of the world's first Germanium Resistance Thermometers (GRT).
