Hi, I’m Reinack. I’m a scientist, editor, and writer with a strong background in materials science. There is a lot of exciting research happening around the world. But a lot of it goes unnoticed by the general public. Why? First, most cutting edge science is published in peer-reviewed journals that require payment to access content. Next, not all research breakthroughs are deemed newsworthy. Finally, scientists write for scientists – which doesn’t always make for great reading! Science Descienced is my attempt to communicate complex science using accessible language anyone can relate to. I also create illustrations when I feel it conveys ideas better than words can.
