Saxon Financials was one of the premier and largest worldwide proprietary trading firms during the time of transition of financial trading from the pits on the physical floor of the exchange to trading with exchanges that existed in data centers that were once old factories or breweries. Since then Exchanges merged, software developed, communications bacame a speed race, companies got swallowed up and algorithms were invented and improved. No need for traders in front of screens. They adapt. The traders of yesterday are to be found in Risk Management, working for Exchanges, running CFD firms, analysts in Hedge Funds and working in Compliance. Some still trade but they all have good memories of the past.
