The Sarah Lynn Strohman Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to ensure that individuals with special needs continue to receive necessary supports and therapies in their community, work and home environments.
Company Overview
The Sarah Lynn Strohman Foundation was established locally in September of 2008 by family and friends of Sarah Strohman to provide support to individuals with special needs and their families. Because of her love of helping others, we want to continue on with the work she started but was never able to complete. Some of our programs include:
Elmos for Sarah program
Donates Elmo’s to local emergency ambulance services, shelters, hospitals, and child abuse centers to give to children in a crisis situation
Art Program
Arrange and support low cost beginner’s art classes geared towards teens and adults with developmental disabilities. Foundation offers experienced support volunteers to help students with their projects.
Gardening Program
Arrange and support classes taught by Master Gardeners which are open to teens and adults with special needs. Foundation has also created a Special Needs Community Garden at Trails and Trees Environment Center to allow the population a chance to grow their own produce.
Blanket program
Donates hand made tie fleece blankets to hospitals, group homes, state retirement centers and families. Also donates crocheted baby blankets to NICU
