Sante Cutarras

Santé Cutarras is a Panamanian cutarras label that believes in evolving with respect. We want to dust off the Panamanian tradition and craft of making cutarras and to offer a comfortable and beautiful shoe at the same time. We, Jony & Nay, are the entrepreneurs behind Santé Cutarras. We were born in the province of Los Santos, Azuero, and currently live in the amazing Panama City. In 2015 we launched our first collection: “Colorful Cutarras”. Since then we continue innovating to bring national and international prestige to the shoes of Panamá! Santé Cutarras is a conscious entrepreneurship. We fight for: The rescue and revalue the cutarras as a symbol of hard work, honesty, tradition and folklore of Panama. The improvement of the quality of life of the artisan and the prevention of the loosing of the cutarras craftmanship. We get our inspiration from our beloved sense of Panamanian and Los Santos identity, as well as the big and unexplored potential of culture that is hidden in Panama as a whole. Belisario Porras (who was three times president, also from Los Santos and remembered as the architect of the Nation) once said: “We are bound to be modern in everything, even if for achieving that goal we must do great effort, bearing in mind our history as the best roadmap to the future”.
