Safe Time Home Sharing,

We are a 510(c)3 nonprofit that operates the Safe Time project at SafeTimeHost.org. Many individuals and families face imminent homelessness due to job loss, rent increases or unplanned expenses. They may already be couch surfing with friends and family. A stay in a private home until they regroup could make a huge difference! We partner with community service organizations that serve clients who may be at risk of imminent homelessness. They provide food, clothing and job-training as well as support for family, youth, veterans and the aging. When the see a person or family in need of a temporary place to stay, we find a match with one of our volunteers. Folks that have one or more unused rooms in their house or apartment can volunteer as a Safe Time host. A local service organization would recommend a compatible client for you to read about, meet, and then if all goes well, start a one week trial as your guest. Please visit our website!
