Safe Nest is a non-profit agency operated by Temporary Assistance for Domestic Crises, Inc. a 501c3 tax-exempt corporation. Safe Nest runs the only 24-hour shelters in Las Vegas that operate with undisclosed locations for the safety of battered women and children. Established in 1977, Safe Nest is the oldest and largest domestic violence program in Southern Nevada assisting clients to start over in a violence-free life. Safe Nest serves all of Greater Las Vegas, Mesquite and rural Clark County. Besides hotlines and shelter, Safe Nest provides counseling services, staffed by Marriage and Family Therapists and licensed professionals. Other services include court advocacy, protection order assistance, public education, dating violence prevention, and advocacy in public policy issues.
