Safe Harbor Peninsula Yacht Club

The Peninsula Yacht Club is situated on the shores of Lake Norman, which is just north of Charlotte, North Carolina, and is the largest inland lake in the Carolinas. We are located at the site of the former Outrigger marina that was founded in 1974. The Peninsula Yacht Club began enrolling members in February of 1995, with area residents and boating enthusiasts being anxious to be a part of Lake Normans newest tradition. Ground breaking for the new Clubhouse was in November of that year, followed by a grand opening celebration at the new Clubhouse in June of 1996. At the grand opening the membership consisted of approximately 540 members and has since grown to over 1000. The Peninsula Yacht Club is a private facility operated solely for its members! We are Lake Norman’s premier waterfront yacht club and one of the top facilities in the southeast. We offer our members an exciting package of opportunities for boating, leisure, and recreation.
