SHiFTUP was conceptualised to create a community for like minded people who care about who care about their cars. We have hosted a series of car meets, where enthusiasts met and drove to pre-planned locations in and around Kolkata. During these drive-outs, the community discussions led to the conclusion that there is no car care segment in India. Even though there are multiple service providers, reaching out to them is still a task, with each service provider having their own set of standards. Therefore, when we started to look for these service providers, we found them scattered and unorganised. This is where we decided to bundle these care providers under one package and aggregate the car care segment for Indian car owners.
