We are SATEDA and we have been supporting women and children in Swale on their journey out of domestic abuse, every day for more than 10 years.
We listen to the women we support and we work with the women we support. Together we have developed a holistic approach to guide women into breaking free and taking back control of their lives. We also develop and deliver educational prevention programmes in schools because we believe that knowledge is power and raising awareness among the younger generation is paramount in our fight to end the cycle of domestic abuse.
Our services include:
- Advice, advocacy and emotional support, whether it's a housing issue, finance or legal proceedings
- Support applying for a protective order through the civil courts
- Support for children
- Counselling
- Recovery programmes
- Rebuilding programmes
- Employability programmes
- Educational programmes for young people
- Campaigning against systemic gender inequality
If you are committed to working with us to make our community safer for women and children and/or have specific skills to offer, please visit the vacancies and volunteer pages on our website.
