The National Iranian Oil Corporation (NIOC) delegated the contract for developing the Azar oil field in the scope of Buy-Back contracts to the consortium of Ahdaf Investment Company and Oil Industries Engineering and Construction (OIEC); In April 2013, the agreement went into effect, and the Sarvak Azar Engineering and Development (SAED) was established by the consortium to conduct developing operations in the most complex oil field in the Middle East, which is shared with Iraq, and to develop similar projects in the future.
In an effort to create a top-tier oil and gas field developer company in the country, the shareholders established a "project-centric corporation" named Sarvak Azar Engineering and Development Company for the development of the Azar oil field. The firm's organizational structure is Project-Oriented, and team members are available full-time to the project manager.
Taking into account ten years of experience and the company's success in developing the most complex field in the Middle East, the Azar oil field, the shareholders of the company decided to change the organization's strategy; Now, after passing the assessment process, this enterprise has joined the group of companies capable of exploration and production (E&P), and the development of hydrocarbon fields has been added to the firm's future priorities.
