History: For more than eighty years, New York’s defining cultural moments have taken place at The Russian Tea Room right next to Carnegie Hall. The spirit of the original Russian Tea Room is alive and enchanting as ever.
Celebrity: Countless guests walk through the antique revolving doors just to catch a glimpse of the booth Dustin Hoffman jumped into next to Sidney Pollack as he was dressed like a woman in Tootsie, to see the inspiration that Woody Allen found for the movie Manhattan, to see the legendary coat check room where Madonna once worked. As a New York icon, Russian Tea Room continues to draw celebrities and major TV/Movie filming.
Private Event Space: Russian Tea Room offers three of the most exclusive and captivating private rooms in the world – accommodating 10-800 guests. In the Bear Lounge, guests will find themselves enchanted in a visual experience that features a tree of Faberge-inspired Venetian glass eggs and a 15-foot revolving bear aquarium. The two-story Bear Ballroom features etched mirrors of frolicking bears and three imperial bronze chandeliers. Lastly, the Hearth Room features walls of inlaid faux wood, a fireplace and a working model of the Kremlin in four seasons. These three rooms are ideal for weddings, charity events, holiday parties, corporate functions, and any special occasion.
Food and Beverage: The menu is dynamic and innovative, yet pays homage to our classic dishes like the Borscht, Chicken Kiev, Beef Stroganoff and Blintzes. A world class beverage selection including sommelier selected wines or a taste of one of our 40 different vodkas.
