Royal Purple is the official weekly newspaper of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. It provides information for students, faculty, staff and citizens about news and entertainment, as well as serving as an open forum for opinions. Royal Purple is supported by advertising from area businesses, campus departments and community organizations. The printed and online newspaper creates a laboratory learning experience for the students to establish a permanent record of contemporary events throughout the campus and community. Royal Purple has editorial and advertising staff, reporters and photographers. It is guided by a faculty adviser and an advertising department adviser.
Royal Purple will strive to present the news in an objective manner. The writers will be encouraged to research the views, policies or actions that are being reported. Opinions will belong only to sources and will be clearly attributed.
