People with terminal illness but no home have very few options:
• Emergency rooms, often a last resort for people on the street, are the most expensive and least effective setting possible.
• Most hospice agencies deliver care in your home. That works well - if you have one.
• Hospice patients need care for weeks or months, with privacy and stability that emergency shelters can't offer.
We are strategically partnered with Denver Rescue Mission, who will lease us space at their Crossings facility on Smith Road, once we have funding and staffing in place.
Our staff and volunteers will provide companionship and non-medical care like help with laundry and cleaning. Hospice agencies will provide skilled nursing and physician services.
How can you help?
• Like every non-profit, we need funds - donate on our website.
• Spread the word: Please share this page with clients, business associates, and others.
• Get involved:
- If you want to help the Board (either as a member or an extra pair of hands), contact Mark Bell. There's a lot of work to be done!
- Once we are operational (targeting 2021) you can be a direct part of providing people a comfortable place to live during their last days.
