RSA specialises in the conduct of road safety audits, road safety engineering, safety barrier and crash attenuation systems, pedestrian and cyclist safety and access provisions for people with disabilities. In the 14 years of operation RSA has provided road safety and road safety auditing functions for the majority of major and minor road infrastructure projects in Victoria, including the Melbourne City Link Project (previous largest infrastructure project in Australia) and the current East Link Project (the largest infrastructure project in Australia). RSA has an on-going road safety advisory and auditing role with City Link, Trans Link Operations, VicUrban, Yarra Trams and many other government and not government organizations.
We have been involved in auditing the majority of other major infrastructure projects in recent years such as the East Link Tollway, Metropolitan Ring Road, Geelong Bypass, Craigieburn Bypass, Pakenham Bypass, Hallam Bypass, Deer Park Bypass, Brisbane’s Gateway Upgrade and Calder Freeway.
RSA has been instrumental in Victoria in bringing change to the standards and road construction practices to improve the safety of road users, road workers and the disabled. RSA has been involved with Road Authorities, road construction contractors and unions to develop suitable measures that are now part of the Road Management Act. RSA has also been heavily involved with public transport operators to develop suitable measures to cater for DDA requirements.
