Rivalta Terminal Europe — a company established in 2006, located in a central position within the so-called “industrial triangle” of Italy represented by the large Northwestern cities of Milan, Turin, and Genoa — stands today as a modern and efficient Intermodal Terminal. On an overall proprietary area of approximately 1,200,000 square meters, Rivalta Terminal Europa currently operates over an area of 250,000 square meters, which represents the first step of a major development project. The project comprises a capacity of movement of over 500,000 containers, with the possibility of further development of 650,000 sqm., which, in the coming years, will be allocated to the expansion of the current structure.
The Europe terminal is located in an area of high strategic importance, at the crossroad between the main railway lines connecting the North-East countries with the countries of Western Europe (Corridor V), and between connections between Genoa and ports Northern Europe (III crossing point). The Terminal’s location allows operators to use an ideal platform for sorting goods both import and export, supporting the operations and growth of the Ligurian ports. The structure is able to offer a wide range of terminal services to railway operators and road haulers.
