Riley Orton Foundation Org (ROF) empowers marginalized girls and women to reach their full potential through provision of tuition free education, library services and economic empowerment of women through business training and connecting them to the resources they need to succeed.
We work in Obunga slum and Obambo village in Kisumu Kenya. Our vision is empowered girls and women who have reached their full potential and are living productive lives as the next generation of women leaders in Kenya.
Working with our partners from all over the world, we have successfully built a modern boarding school allowing over 100 needy girls to access free quality education, learning resources and provided enrichment programs for over 400 students and youth in our community.
We have also built Maendeleo Hub Library, a community center connecting marginalized rural women who are visionaries running small scale business and community projects to the resources they need to build a resilient and sustainable community. Such resources include training in business management, profit and loss, budget making, group savings and loaning/table banking, seed funding through small grants and encouraging them to colaborate with each other to maximize their impact in the community.
