Rhythms of Grace is a nonprofit 501c3 PATH International therapeutic riding center dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children and adults with diverse needs by partnering with the horse to bring hope and healing through equine assisted services. Therapeutic/adaptive riding is one form of equine assisted service offered that focuses on building strength and confidence. On the horse, riders feel like everyone else and develop independence and skills that impact their daily lives. Therapeutic/adaptive riding is beneficial to individuals and groups with a variety of special needs, conditions, diagnosis and or disabilities. We develop a customized lesson plan for each participant to work on empathy for the horse and humans, safety, skill development, strength development, decision-making and a variety of cognitive, physical, emotional and social skills. Physical therapy is also offered utilizing the horses as a movement modality of treatment. Therapy is highly effective for injury rehabilitation, stroke rehabiliation, and various forms of physical, occupational, speech and mental health therapy.
