The interactive mediation concept, which will be held in the city of Zurich in 2021, includes various practice-oriented activities for the transfer of information and knowledge. The individual mediation steps are oriented towards the practical building procedures of the reuse process, which ultimately lead to an exhibition programme in which the entire process of reusing building components is presented. By raising awareness among a broader public, the aim is to make the reuse of building components an everyday practice.
As a first step, a series of workshops is planned in which participants have the opportunity to dismantle components and are confronted with the various aspects of reusing components. The participants of the workshops will be empowered to identify the circular processes of reuse. The workshops are led by our collective. In addition, other experienced experts will provide insights into the opportunities and challenges of component reuse. If you are interested in the workshops, please contact us by e-mail. We will inform you when and in which framework the workshops can be held again.
Finally, the dismantled components will be presented in an exhibition. In this way, the process of reusing components and the associated challenges will be brought closer to a broader public. The interactive exhibition will provide background information on the reuse of building components, present the actions we have previously carried out and present the results of our analysis. Finally, the harvested building components are made available for future reuse in the spirit of the circular economy.
