RCIS combines a wide spectrum of basic science, applied science and translational science in the field of Immunology with a focus on inflammatory and infectious diseases, tumor immunology and transplantation tolerance. RCIS members are working in the fields of Immunology, Immunopathology and Infectionlogy, publish their scientific results in high ranking international journals and are involved in important national and international collaborative research projects. The centralization of the immunological research work provides optimal opportunities for interaction and cooperation, spread of knowledge and technological expertise for established scientists as well as for juniour research groups.
