Red River Animal Emergency Hospital & Referral Center is a well-established VECCS level 2 certified facility with an exceptional reputation for having served the North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota communities since 2005. We are North Dakota's only 24/7 regional Small Animal Emergency & Referral Hospital who is 100% local veterinarian owned. Veterinary clinics in the Fargo-Moorhead area understood the importance of having a central location where clients could bring their pets, regardless of the time of day, to receive urgent medical care. Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center opened in December 2005 as an after-hours and weekend hospital. We opened with a small team of only 4 technicians and 3 doctors in a 3000 sqft facility. Over the years we have expanded our number of technicians and doctors and in 2018 we moved into our 12,000 sqft hospital, offering 24-hour emergency service. In 2022 we opened our referral center and now offer referral services in Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery.
