Red Leap Theatre is passionate about innovative and unforgettable theatre, focusing on original devised work.
Red Leap enjoys crossing the forms of physical theatre, imagery and storytelling. As devisors we strongly believe in playful discovery, the power of the imagination, and building a strong ensemble of performers.
Dubbed by critics as ‘Restlessly Creative… Endlessly Inventive’, we are best known for the production 'The Arrival' commissioned by the 2009 Auckland Arts Festival. In 2010 'The Arrival' was awarded six Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards including Best Production, Most Original Production and Best Director for Julie Nolan.
