Recolamp

Recolamp Association is a not-for-profit organization founded by the Romanian producers of lamps (founding members: Philips, Osram, GE and Narva; participants – more than 120 Romanian companies) and authorized by the Ministry of Environment to collect and recycle waste lamps, in accordance with the obligations assumed with the accession to the European Union, transposed in national legislation by G.D. 1037/2010. Therefore, in this moment, Recolamp collects waste lamps from more than 3,500 Romanian companies, (Dacia Pitesti, Hidroelectrica, Luxten, Mittal Steel, etc) and state institutions (Ministries, Government Agencies, Municipalities), exploiting its nationwide used lamps collection network of more than 6,000 locations. All the services that the Association offers to waste lamps generators/holders are free of charge, from the delivery of specialized collection receptacles, collection itself and transportation to the recycling process (in accordance with the law, abandoning this type of waste by the legal entities represents contravention) Moreover, Recolamp is actively involved in the authorities’ effort to promote a environmentally-responsible behavior by the legal entities.
