Re:Source creates multi-generational smart villages by regenerating land and building desirable living spaces; making stewards of those who live there and returning the land back to the commons, protected in perpetuity. We honour local traditions and culture, and look to re-introduce indigenous wisdom while combining it with modern technologies and best practices.
We are tasked with transforming humanity’s interface with nature. We do this by designing our ecosystems through the three lenses of ecological, economic and social wellbeing. This creates resilient and regenerative villages and the space for villagers to thrive.
We apply lifelong learning for environmental stewardship; managing water and other natural resources in an equitable and participatory way. Our spaces become 'living labs', in essence agri-tech incubators that provide the opportunities for local regenerative food systems in partnership with nearby farmers, using methods that increase biodiversity, such as; re-wilding, food forests, wild flower gardens, orchards, aviaries, botany labs, greenhouses, agroforestry, composting facilities, mushroom grow rooms, and potentially hydroponic systems. As well as a venture builder to support other non-agricultural businesses that villagers want to create so our spaces are vibrant, purposeful and inspiring places to live.
Our biophilic homes are designed with Valldaura Labs, part of the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia.
