Our mission is that nobody should have to die or be seriously injured in fires nor accidents. By working to prevent and limit accidents, preparing and carrying through rescue operations and taking necessary procedures after accidents we work to make your everyday life as safe and secure as possible. We cooperate with other organizations on a local, regional, national and international level and take an active part in the crisis handling in society by adapting our resources to the current risks and threats identified. Greater Gothenburg Fire and Rescue Service is a joint fire and rescue service with six member municipalities in which we provide rescue services and preventive fire protection for approximately 840,000 inhabitants
