Rainforest savers was formed to enable truly sustainable nature conservation projects primarily by focusing on protecting and reforesting rainforests around the world. As a start, Rainforest savers has developed a truly sustainable reforestation model by working with communities living inside or close to the rain forests. Livelihoods of these communities are intertwined with rain forests. The most important reason to save the rainforest is the effect deforestation has on local economies. Increased flooding, lack of quality water, and inability to produce their own food causes many locals migrate to cities that lack the infrastructure for them. Or sadly, the only way they can make money is to work on plantations, worsening the deforestation problem and at times being subjected to inhumane dangerous working conditions. In rain rainforest savers, we support them by providing villages with renewable energy micro grids, platforms to sell their produce to rest of the world, support to start truly sustainable businesses and many more. In return, the local communities will plant trees and look after the critical rainforest eco systems around them.
