Radium Engineering is a South African company that produces agricultural implements of exceptional quality and dependability. This has made them well-respected and recognised within the agricultural industry of South Africa as well as beyond its borders. An ongoing research and development program ensures that Radium products remains at the forefront of current technology, both in new product design and the development of existing models. Their products include spreaders, side-tip trailers, tillage equipment, pasturators, graders as well as mixing and feeding equipment. Radium also offer Rotary Cutters, Rock Pickers and Windrowers from the well-known Canadian manufacturer Schulte. Radium’s story started on a Limpopo farm in 1965, when Johan Roest built a cattle scale, and its immense success lead to an operation dedicated to the equipment needs of local farmers. Its uncomplicated, effective operation led to demand from local farmers, and was patented and manufacture started. Radium Engineering was officially established in 1976, and have been making the difference ever since. Mike Roest, John Roest's son, now leads the Radium team of more than 100 skilled staff at their base in Babelegi, north of Pretoria. He is joined by the third generation of the Roest family, sons Gareth and Grant. Radium Engineering maintains its reputation of quality, original design and reliability by staying on the forefront of technological, design and production breakthroughs. Through an on-going research and development program, Radium constantly expands and enriches their product range.
