RKH Qitarat is a joint venture between RATP Dev, Keolis and the Hamad Group. French public transport operators, RATP Dev and Keolis, bring global expertise to metro and tram operations. At the same time, Hamad Group provides local knowledge and contributes to developing domestic railway capabilities and industry in Qatar. RKH Qitarat operates and maintains the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram.
RKH Qitarat’s client is Qatar Rail, the state-owned railway company responsible for rail transport in Qatar. Established in 2011, the company leads the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the entire rail network and systems.

- Three lines each able to carry more than 8000 customers an hour in each direction
- The red line opened in May 2019
- The gold line opened in November 2019

- Four lines planned Orange, Turquoise, Pink and Purple
- Orange line opened in January 2022 with 7 stations, above and below ground
- 28 trams, with 5 cars
- One tram replaces around 40 cars on the road
- Once all four lines are open there will be 28 km of track
