Red Kite Learning Trust (RKLT) is proud to be a collaboration of 14 fantastic schools in the Harrogate and Leeds area. We have grown from three founding schools who worked together to create a Multi-Academy Trust structure which combined the desire for each school to be different and autonomous with the benefits of sharing key functions and processes. It is important to us that we value the differences in our schools and encourage the special and unique elements that each school offers to their different communities. Every day we see the benefits for young people of working together. We relish the opportunities to share the specialist skills, insight and knowledge of colleagues across the key stages. We provide a supportive structure for schools working in partnership to help ensure all their young people can achieve success. RKLT knows that some of the enabling functions of our schools can better be delivered centrally and that we can ensure all our schools continue to strive for excellence through appropriate support and challenge from within the Trust. The success of our schools is dependent on the quality, talent and commitment of our staff, which is why we recruit and retain the very best people who share our values and vision. RKLT is also very proud to be part of Red Kite Alliance (RKA) which includes 16 secondary schools, three all-through schools, a special school and 22 primaries. The University of Leeds is a strategic partner, supporting our initial teacher training provision and leadership programmes. RKA also has a very high profile in regional school improvement, CPL and leadership provision. Staff have excellent opportunities for to work beyond their own school, collaborate between different partner schools, continually developing and improving their skills. Whatever the aspiration, being part of RKLT and RKA, provides staff with exciting opportunities to find a rewarding and fulfilling career.
