Ram Mutual Insurance

RAM Mutual Insurance Company was founded in 1931 by a group of Minnesota township mutual insurance companies for the purpose of providing reinsurance to these companies. As the needs of the township mutuals and their agency force grew and changed, RAM responded by expanding its products and services. As the reinsurer of the majority of Minnesota township mutuals, RAM provides loss prevention and investigation services as well as other forms of assistance to the township mutuals. In response to the needs of township mutual agents for a farm workers compensation market, RAM entered the direct business in 1974. Additional personal and commercial products have since been introduced. RAM now offers a full line of products to approximately 600 independent insurance agencies across Minnesota, servicing approximately 42,000 policyholders.
