Based in The Precinct in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, the Queensland XR Hub is a membership-based organisation committed to building and promoting the growing Extended Reality (XR) and immersive technology ecosystem in Queensland. Our mission is to connect the XR ecosystem with projects, contributing to the ever-increasing economic growth of this sector. XR is the umbrella term for the immersive technologies that can extend the reality we experience by blending real and virtual environments or by creating fully immersive virtual experiences. There are three main categories of XR: - Virtual Reality (VR) - Augmented Reality (AR) - Mixed Reality (MR) In a rapidly growing global industry, we’re proud to call Queensland the home of world-class XR talent and capabilities. With members ranging from students and educators through to start-ups, scale-ups and established businesses, the XR Hub provides access to industry events, resources, collaborations and networks to support and facilitate the growth of Queensland’s XR industry.
