PursuitSAFETY, a national nonprofit organization, is committed to reducing the number of deaths and injuries as a result of vehicular police pursuit and response call crashes. We are working for a safer way to prevent these tragedies from happening to innocent bystanders and police officers. We exist to save lives.
PursuitSAFETY provides a safe place for bereaved families and injured innocent victims to turn to for the support they need.
PursuitSAFETY advocates limiting vehicular police pursuits to violent felony offenders when there is no other way to apprehend the suspect(s). (We recognize officers and agencies that think "outside the box" through PursuitSAFETY’s annual Safer Way Award.)
PursuitSAFETY advocates the adoption of department policies that clearly define speed limits for peace officers as they respond to calls, to assure public safety and the safety of officers.
PursuitSAFETY’s unique drivers’ education program, PULLOVER: Have no regrets, provides a critical missing component to our nation’s teen drivers’ education curriculum: how to interact with law enforcement during a traffic stop. Our speakers successfully incorporate their interactive presentation into any teen driver-education program.

PursuitSAFETY has worked with attorneys on behalf of innocent victims in state Supreme Court cases. We also support federal and state legislation designed to strike a proper balance between the rights and expectations of innocent bystanders against the need for vehicular police pursuits and response calls to apprehend nonviolent suspects.
