The Purdue University Police Department (PUPD) in West Lafayette, Indiana is a professional law enforcement department empowered by Purdue University. State law grants Purdue police officers the same powers of arrest and law enforcement authority that city and county police officers have. Purdue officers protect and serve with a focus on meeting the special needs of the campus community numbering over 50,000 members.
