The Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST) is renowned for its professional work culture and provides an enabling environment for nurturing talent to play a pivotal role in regional development. Established in Chandigarh on July 21, 1983, as an autonomous society under the State Department of Science & Technology, it commenced effective operations in 1988. PSCST actively supports the State Government in comprehensive planning for Science, Technology & Environment development, advocates for relevant technological interventions, and promotes a scientific mindset among the public.
To ensure the efficacy of our strategies, we consistently gather feedback from stakeholders, meticulously evaluate and interpret it, and implement necessary adjustments. Until recently, our organizational structure encompassed specific domains such as Popularization of Science, Biotechnology, Environment (including the Consultancy Cell for Industrial Pollution Control & Energy Efficiency), and Intellectual Property Rights.
In line with the State Government's initiative 'Mission Innovate Punjab' and the establishment of 'Punjab Research Innovation' (PRI) under PSCST's auspices, we have recently restructured our technical divisions. These now include Research Facilitation, Start-up Facilitation, Technology Facilitation, and STI Translation & Facilitation Divisions, aimed at effectively steering these state-supported innovations.
