Public Lands United Cleanup (PLUC) is a 501(c)(3) certified non-profit organization focused on public land stewardship & environmental restoration. Our organization provides a critical service because no government entities are currently responsible for waste removal from public lands.
Founded in 2019, PLUC's goal is to restore U.S public lands through weekly clean-ups & educate the public by hosting educational events, group clean-ups, & having an active social media presence. PLUC actively is seeking partnerships with companies, communities, & schools to improve our reach and continue to grow our volunteer network across the U.S.
To date, PLUC has covered 80,000 miles, 14 states, and 23 national parks and collected over 20,000lbs of trash from our public lands. The organization plans to continually expand across the U.S by establishing more cross-country PLUC routes where volunteers can meet up with the PLUC team to conduct land clean up events.
