For the past nine years, I have had the opportunity to work as an independent technology consultant helping private equity firms scale SaaS-based software companies ($10 MM to $500 MM in annual revenue). My approach has been to leverage my successful hands-on CIO experience to partner with existing technology leadership to develop a documented technology strategy. These strategies include defining the “As-Is” and “To-Be” technology state for the company leveraging an approach I have developed over the past 15+ years. The strategies include evaluating people, processes and technology. A comprehensive roadmap is then created to help the company achieve its growth and cost-saving targets. As an additional service, I provide on-going periodic support to evaluate how the plan is being executed and to advise on recommended adjustments to the plan.
I have also had the opportunity to provide interim CIO/CTO support when needed to bridge the gap until a new technology leader can be identified.
